Lady tried tricking me

So, I was just chilling and I got a phone call. "Unknown" it reads with no phone number or area code. I decline it and then it keeps coming for 7 more times. I got tired of it, so I accepted. A black lady answered and said her husband named Steven beat her up and ran off. She also said he used my number, so she is reporting it to the police. She said that I was probably related to him as his friend or something and seriously failed lol. I was like hell nu. I hung up and then called my phone service provider. They said nobody accessed my phone number lmao.

Nice try you scammer. Go get a life.

What to do? :/ I'm going to report her to the police and I probably need someone to get data from just teh phone number if I do get access of it.

Definitely contacting the police is the first step.

Perhaps going to them in person and giving them your phone (make sure you're in the room with them when they use it so none of your details are taken without your acknowledgement) so they can track this person down and arrest her?

Not 100% sure what the US system is with this.

If the number was private, I would bet money on it being some sort of scam. If she was genuinely out to get you, she wouldnt have the time to block her number between the mass amounts of calls. If things turn out to be real, you likely have no association and can press charges for harassment. Win win situation.
