12 Year Old Boy Killed - Stabbing at St Patrick's College High School Shorncliffe - Brisbane, Queensland

A 12 year old boy is dead after being stabbed in the chest in a Monday morning attack at St Patrick's College High School in Shorncliffe in Brisbane's northern suburbs. A 13 year old has also been injured in the neck in what has been reported to be a self inflicted knife wound.

The incident is understood to have occurred at about 8.15am on Monday morning. The 12 year old boy who is yet to be publicly named was taken to the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane but died a short time later.

The 13 year old was taken to Redcliffe Hospital and is in a stable condition. It is understood that he is assisting police with their inquiries into the incident.

St Patrick's School went into lock down for three hours following the incident.
