(custom) Resolution?!

Hey guys anyone here who can tell me a way to get any res highter than 1440x900 in CF?!
ive a 26" screen w/ 1920x1200 but the game does not support any higher res than 1440x900

this is very gay sine Combat Arms for ex. has a 1920x1200 res
pretty annoying to play @ an uncorrect res...
pls help me!

ive also searched 4 some config.ini data or sthg like that but there is nothing -.-

I have same issue on desktop, just put in window mode don't worry about custom.

you put GAME in wiondow mode?
or just the menu to select the game you play?
anyway i could play game w/ no scale mode but i want it in 1920x1200

(was expensive too but nvm bout that here)

Crossfire is Fail cause it has only 4 different resolutions
every normal game has 1920x1200 Oo
even Combat arms Counterstrike etc

anyway if that was a missunderstanding : I CAN PLAY but the games resolution can be set over 1440x900

DUDE its the same w/ 24" and 22"... 22" res is most times 1650x1080... thats also unsupported... and you cant say only 10 ppl have 22"....

what screen do you have?

anyway i wont discuss bout how many ppl have which monitor just want someone who can help me w/ my problem

purely assumptions.

i don't know how to code or do any image reconstruction *or whatever its called* but i'm guessing in order to support a higher res you'ed have to go into each image ex. building, character, gun, bullet, box, etc. and redraw each one in a higher res then write a program that'll calculate the difference in mouse movement, speed, etc to the original res and work out bugs and all other little details.

also i'm not a 100% sure but i think xtrap goes into the res folder and rechecks to make sure that the original files are still there and not anything new that you made. you could probably bypass it by injecting the files but the amount of files needed to replace all of the res files would slow down your game start up substantially.

lastly you would need the coder to update each time the game updates. and just like the pubs, leechers would take it and not give credit making the coders frustrated and stop coding it all together and make it vip.


so considering the amount of work and the minority of people that actually want it i don't think any coder would be making this anytime soon.

ok that sounds hard -.-
its silly anyway form z8 cause for example the game tiberian sun also could only be played @ 800x600
but there was a config file and you could change it and that worked very well
dumb that there isnt such a file in CF... (or i cant find it^^)
