CSGO now is too popular now, they will keep it for a couple more years. But it is slowly declining in players.

But now that betting is over skins have reduced in value and cs:go users are slowly dying, the people that used to play to abuse the skins are now gone and it's all about game play. It's overall better but there are now less players. Eventually source 2 will come out and then valve will want to try a new cs game on that platform
