Good Cheap Laptops?

So, I'm gonna be dead forward, I know little to nothing about laptops. I know a good amount of is the same as a PC but I just wanna be sure and get some good help. My girlfriend has been wanting a little laptop (Not literally little but you know) that she can use for school, internet, a few basic games and obviously I wanna help her so does anyone have some good cheap (Within the hundreds budget please) ideas that I could help her out with? I don't really think you need a i5 for simple use. I think i3 is ok.

I think HP laptops would be good or asus, but don't get mac books they are kinda shitty. i don't hate mac book users i just hate mac book
