That's going to depend on how well Scorpio will do.

Scorpion is going to be released fall2017 , even if sony decides to review scorpio it will probably take couple of years to get going as releasing a entirely new console is not an easy task and it take years of development, also you have to give time to developers to make new games for the console. and an incremental release on ps4 like pro won't work.
so dnt think its going to be release in next3-4 years and pro is future proof for now atleast.

I kind of purchased this ps4 to also play on updated GTA 5. Because on PS3, I got a modded GTA 5 account (My own account, just modded). They haven't updated Gta 5 on ps3 for almost 6 months now. I don't have the money or time to purchase and download GTA 5 on steam. So PS4 looked like the best way.

I purchased from Norwegian gamestop. 350$ isn't much for a ps4 here. It is an ok price. I don't want a PS4 Pro since my tv probably can't do 4k (It is indeed a flatscreen samsung TV from 2013 or 2014). I also wanted to play No Man's Sky and that Uncharted 4 since everyone says it is a really good game.

Both SONY and Microsoft will be using x86 architecture in their future consoles. There's really not much to develop like in the previous generations where the silicons were highly customized.

All SONY has to do is see what AMD is going to release in 2018 or 2019.
