Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer is Updating

I logged onto steam today and it started to update Modern Warfare 2: Multiplayer. I'm already on the 1.0.184 patch, So I think its a new one. Like 1.0.186 or something. The download is HUGE, its at 2.0mbps and its only at 20%. I could be wrong, but why else would it be doing this?

Your wrong. Using beta? You have to finished dl'ing(they're reinstalling the game for some odd reason), or reinstall using ur disks. Then you don't have to patch, for some reason.

probably just doing the beta version of steam
could also very well be that u are missing files

yeah, I got beta of Steam to check it out, and its making me re-download. Very strange....I hope VAC stuff stays the same

yes, that is it. I got the steam beta and it started re-downloading the game, Its still at 1.0.184. Odd.

Sorry if i wasted anyones time. i just thought it was updating or something. but nope its because of the steam beta for some weird reason.
