After you buy your VPS,
1. Go to your server source and change the IP address to your VPS address.
2. Download the needed programs on the VPS
3. Compress the file (you dont have to, but it takes longer) and copy paste onto the VPS. Extract it.
4. Go to Advanced Firewall and Create a new inbound rule that will allow all ports.
5. Start up your server like how you usually do it.
This is for Windows VPS btw

Unless you use a separate host for the db. Yes. On a VPS you set up the source the exact same way as you do on your PC, although I recommend you don't put the whole source on a VPS as it can be easily stolen. What I tend to do is put the bin-debug folder on the VPS (pre-edited with VPS' IP) then edit the source locally and upload the new debug folder again.
