FREE ARMA 3 DLC

In this Thread I will teach you on how to get all Arma3 DLCs for free including APEX.

Step 1: You need an older Steam version. I use the version from 12.09.2016 just google it.

Step 2: Download the program provided

Step 3: Close steam (Right click on the steam icon and click on "exit Steam" )

Step 4: Find the AppId of a game you dont play for example CS:GO or you can just download some free to play games to have them in you library in order to use their AppID to patch the DLCs on. (AppId of CSGO ---> 730)

Step 5: Open the Programm and select your packageinfo.vdf (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache) then select the AppID that you dont need (in this case its CSGO which is 730) and patch it to the AppID of an Arma 3 DLC AppID.

-Arma 3 Karts:288520
-Arma 3 Marksmen:332350
-Arma 3 Helicopters:304380
-Arma 3 Apex:395180
-Arma 3 Jets:601670

yes you will be able to play in MP servers.

Ok, So I downloaded the same version as you mentioned, and I can't stop it from auto updating to a new version.
How do you get around this ?

Here follow these steps:

1- Create a new text file on your desktop

2- In the text file, put this : BootStrapperInhibitAll=enable

3- Then click on Save As.. and then name the file Steam.cfg

4- Now that you have created the cfg file just drag it into the steam folder and it shouldn't update anymore

Followed the Exact Steps as you mentioned and it gives an Error : Failed to load steamui.dll
This ONLY happens when your CFG file is added to the folder.

I get the same error when I moved the file that supposed to block steam from updating to the steam folder...

Yes you can. You just have to go on steam a re-install it

I can't find the version of steam you are talking about );
Can we reinstall the last update of steam after doing that and still have the dlc ?
