I'd like to think I have a decent shot. I actually didn't read the entire application thread to see who else tossed their name into the hat. I don't think it's going to be someone with fewer than 1,000 posts. I also don't think it's going to be a child. They've had too many bad experiences with both. I think they are starting to get the picture.

Depends on what context we're using. A 15 year old boy is equivalent to a 12 year old girl. That in itself is a test of maturity because most men will argue with that almost immediately upon reading it.

I really do think that staff positions should be reserved for adults or young adults with a sense of responsibility. There may be 14 year olds who act mature but they are still kids. What happens to our section if they get grounded for a week? I mean, I pay my bills and I own my home. Nobody is going to ground me. I'm not the only one applying who qualifies though so we'll see. I just hope it's somebody who isn't going to shy away from the job and will take it seriously. This section needs it.
