Teenage girl shot dead while walking home..

For those who live in the L.A area I do not know if you have heard about the 17 year old girl (cassandra jocobo) was shot and killed while walking home with a male friend.

Pomona - A 17-year-old girl walking home with a friend was shot and killed in Pomona, authorities said On Wednesday.

The crime occurred about 11 p.m. Tuesday at Olive and Glenroy streets, said Pomona police Sgt. Robert Baker. The girl died at the scene, said Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the coroner's office.

The teen and her male friend were confronted by one or more assailants, Baker said. Her friend ran to get help and flagged down a passing car to call 911.Her friend was unhurt.

Investigators were unsure of a motive for the crime, and no arrests were immediately made.

The sad thing was..the boy was walking her home so she could be safe since it was so late at night, unfortunately he was not made of steel and could not have stopped the bullet's.

Cassandra was a very very good friend of mine and I saw her every single day...What has this world come to by shooting a innocent young lady?

Please do not insult the boy...I know him very very very well..even more than I knew Cassandra. Also, when a gun is pulled out on you over 90% of the time people get "Stuck" and cannot think properly. The boy was a few feet from her as they were turning the corner but he was to far from her for him to even try to do anything and the gun was pulled out and shot before both of them couldv react.

I found out about this hour's after it happened and I know the story fully...Apparently 2 Male's approached them while they were walking and turning on a corner, 1 of the male's asked if they had any gang affiliation and the boy replied quickly "No were not, we are just passing thru" and continued walking, Second's later the same male saw the young girl and mustv regonized her and said some word's (as which I cannot say here) and while he was saying something he pulled out a .22 and shot 3 time's the boy said the male pulled out the gun and shot so fast that the girl didn't even have time to reply to the gunner's word's, the boy ran to her and saw she was shot in the rib's and immediatly started running for help, before he got to the Intersection the boy flagged down a car passing by and told them his friend was shot and to call the ambulance.


I don't see in any way shape or form why people would blame the boy she was with,

But nonetheless I don't see what else the boy couldv done. The girl died before the ambulance got there, that mean's she died within minuets after the shooting. What could the boy have done to save her?
