Anyone here taught themselves how to play the guitar?

And if so, could you recommend any sites, apps or youtube channels that would help me advance?
I'm pretty sure i'm past the very begging stage of trying to learn the guitar. I can confidently play a few chords and sometimes can even play a bar chord correctly after only 3 tries so I'm probably just gonna have to exercise indefinitely from now on but it gets really boring playing the same "dust in the wind" melody over and over again.
oh and is there a sort of wiki for tablature symbols and such?

It's doable but not that easy. If you try to learn from the internet, you might get confused because everyone has their own style of playing. Getting a personal tutor is better since they have a lot of experience and you won't get confused.

ATM I have a limited time to do w/e I wanna do when I'm back home and I really cbf dealing with a schedule so learning by my self when ever I have the time to do so makes more sense for me.

Just search up on YouTube: "Guitar for Beginners" and try finding a tutorial that suits you, after learning the basic things off of tutorials, you can start experimenting with the guitar itself. This is the best way you can learn the Guitar.

I have. It's best not to try to search for shortcuts. Learn the basic chords, how to bar and harmonics then just go find songs you like to listen to and try to learn them.

I spent a decent amount of time practicing the guitar and then later on gave it up. It's still fun to play just need a lot of time to dedicate to it to progress. Theres many youtube channels that were useful if you just search a song you want to learn.

I played electric guitar for 3 years~ and found it very easy to learn from them.

For tabs, just google "how to read guitar tabs" and you'll find the answer.
