I never use Photoshop for my VB.NET APPS. Just play around with fonts, color, form styles, etc.

A good GUI is:

*Clean
*Neat
*Easy to read & understand
*Doesn't hinder functionality
*Doesn't add too much to the file size

size really doesn't matter since this is about combat arms, and it takes a minimum of 10-20kbs to play, 1 MB doesnt really matter (at least not to me)
