I totally agree with you, I can leave my dogs for 4hours and they will just be fine. Considering the fact that we have automatic feeders whenever they feel hungry and a drinkwell if they are thirsty. They also know how to follow commands from their alpha. Lastly, they are not as unpredictable as the cats.

Dogs are so much better than cats. Cats are dicks, first of all. They don't care about you. They're little sociopaths. Dogs will show you love. Secondly, you can take dogs with you places. You can go hiking, or to the park, or even just around town with dogs. You can't do that with cats, they just stay at home - hell, you may not even see a cat for weeks if you let it outside.

I'd rather a dog because cats seem like theyr always in their own little world and itd be weird to take them out for walks etc.

I feel like you can create a deeper bond with a dog rather than a cat, however a lot of people don't have the amount of time in their lives needed to take care of and build the bond with that dog so a cat would be a better choice for them. Cats still give you some love and they look after themselves for the most part.
