is it possible to get hacked through skype

is it possible to get hacked through skype because i just turned on my pc today and its stuck in a black screen with the loading icon and cursor.

my windows is fucked.

update: after 4 hours of rebooting my pc and pressing every possible button on Advanced Startup Repair it finally let me reset my pc.
I had to spam the button because everytime I clicked on something it was saying "ran into an error and was not able to ____"

super curious if this hack was put through skype or something, because i haven't downloaded anything in over a month that was just games, graphics card updates and a few essentials like VLC, Google Chrome and skype windows app.

You can't really get hacked by Skype if you don't download, Or i don't really know, I just know that if I have your Skype, I can Dox you, Sniff your ip adress ect.. Btw maybe someone send you something and it automaticly download..
