Tutorial: Connecting to the IWNET emulator.

This is a compilation of tips and guides to installing the game, removing the nasty NAT: Strict, and getting any add-on, or hack that work for the game.

Setting up the game:

(1) Have Call of Duty 6 installed, any version, it doesn't matter because it uses it's own version.
(2a) If you have version 1.1.195 download the MW2-Client-from-New

(2b) If you have ANY other version besides 1.1.195, download MW2-Client-from-Old.

(3) Extract the files to the main MW2 folder.
Default folder would be: C:\Program Files\Activision\Modern Warfare 2\
(4) Open alterIWnet_configure.exe.
(5) Change the name to whatever you want, then save and exit.
(6) run IW4MP (Modern Warfare 2 Multi-player)
(7) Play!


Removing the NAT issues:
(1) log into your router.
(2) go to your port forwarding section (routers have different names for it. The reason for my vagueness :P)
(3) forward these addresses:
1. 1500 to 1500
2. 3005 to 3005
3. 3101 to 3101
4. 27000 to 27050
5. 28960 to 28960
(4) Save settings
(5) The NAT should now be OPEN! This removes shit-loads of lag.


Add-ons:
Downloading the Stimulus pack
(1a) go to this link

and download the DLC maps part 1 and part 2.
(1b) Extract them to the main MW2 folder
Default: C:/Program Files/Activision/Modern Warfare 2

Hacks:

A.) Its not really needed, i pretty much explained it all in the release.
B.) This contains outside links, so chances are a mods gonna come along and either give you a warning and remove the links, or just ban you.
