I did some research on it out of curiosity, it seems you are exaggerating.
For Germany in specific, it is illegal, true, but you will not be arrested or anything like that just for having a SMALL AMOUNT. This amount varies depending on the state you live in, but generally speaking less than 5g should be fine. This doesn't mean just having it is legal, it is not, but you won't need to pay a fine nor go to jail.

Your statement about having it in your body = trouble is pretty much bullshit. This may be true for some country in Europe, who knows, but it is not for Germany. The only thing is that he can (not necessarily will) lose his driver license if he is caught.

Under German law, the consumption itself of narcotics is not illegal: legally speaking, it is considered as non-punishable self harm.

The German narcotics law (Betäubungsmittelgesetz) states that authorities are not required to prosecute for the possession of a "minor amount" of any narcotic drug meant for personal consumption, except in cases "of public interest", i.e. consumption in public, in front of minors or within a public school or a state prison.

I wouldn't smoke. I started smoking and it ruined my life basically. People say it's not addictive but it is. (Very addictive for me.) Ruined my relationship with my family. Jussst saying.

Well if it is your first time make sure you don't take that much. If you overdo it you might start panicking and getting alot of anxiety. Just have things ready to do to pass the time and make things more enjoyable.
