Newbie on Photoshop

Well, I'm not really a newbie. I work with basic and easy photoshop stuff to make signatures and avatars but this one is really giving me a headache, since the tutorial isn't very detailed. I could actually make around.... I don't know, like 80% of what's in the tutorial.

Can someone give me a detailed version of that tutorial? I don't know if this is the correct section to ask it but I really need some help.

The tutorial, though. It isn't detailed as I want it to be. For example, saying what blending options we need and what text options we need, etc.

Really, I never knew that, I always save as a jpg on max quality..

jpg max quality is only like half the quality of png-24
and dude dont expect ur first piece to be good, my first piece just sucked and now im gfx
