For some reason crossfire wont start for me, ive had it running perfectly for the past 1year until now. the Problem is that when i start crossfire the computer asks for permition (vista user) i allow it (as i always) see the patcher load up, then HGW load up then xtrap load up when they close i see the xtrap shield in the bottom left see the timer icon on the cursor then nothing the game just wont start i open task manager and the process is still runing but now game? ive uninstalled 5 times but it only works for a couple of load ups its got the latest patch and i used the installer and still i either get this problem or version.inicannot be downloaded. ive tried running with and withput admin and UAC i also disabled anti virus and all wirewalls i have even ran only the basic process and ran game booster but still i get nothing. can some one help me? thansk in advance

I've had this problem 3 times too.. This is what I do to fix it:
Shut off your PC by holding the off/on button for a few seconds, when you start the PC again run your PC in safe mode ( you should be able to choose.. )
Then delete your CrossFire, after that go to C:/Program Files/Z8games/CrossFire , delete that map, go back to C:/Program Files/Z8games also delete that one. Empty the dust pin of your computer. After that reboot your PC. Then go to the CrossFire site and re-dowload ( use the official a bit longer taking download ). When you download reboot ur PC onc again and the you should be able to play again..
