    List of free anti-viruses

I'm not sure if some of these were posted before, so I'm sorry if this is considered re-posting

    AVG Free:
AVG Free - Download installation files & documentation

aVast (When using pro version, the virus D/B updates daily):
avast! Free Antivirus - Download Software for Virus Protection

Malware-Bytes (I can give you a key to use so you can have pro version):
    |MG| Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.44 Download - That link redirects to a download site (not like media fire or anything like that, the download was uploaded by whoever made malware-bytes)

    Mcafee supported sites (free):
Internet Security, Identity Theft, PC Security | Free Services | McAfee

Kaspersky Virus Removal Tools (A list of specific viruses):
Free Virus Removal Tools & Free Anti-Virus Software - Kaspersky Lab United States

    Kaspersky free trails (30 days):
Antivirus Free Trials & Software - Kaspersky Lab United States

If there is anything you think I should add, please tell me.

But it doesn't have an actual free version, instead it has a trial.

sorry for pulling this thread back, but i thought that the 2 BEST FREE anti viruses should be added to this list for you people

yes these are the best in my opinion, they even detect unknown malware cuz of the aHeAd heuristics that they use, Avira has multiple detection levels you can select as well and acts as a firewall too

    Avira Antivir personal FREE edition

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

malwarebytes is NOT a live detector but its just a scanner with a super high detection rate and detects undiscovered viruses just like Avira but it will give a comprehensive analysis of each infected file found (this scans the entire volume including registry and looking for rootkits) it scans via binary code which gives an extremely likely chance of catching malware.
Avira is a scanner AND real time detector and will detect files the instant you download or even scroll over the object in your files, it pretty much constantly has a check on every file on your system and as soon as it notices a new file it checks it

Currently one of the best if not the best free resident shields and overall AVs: https://www.microsof*****m/security_essentials/
    Beta version: https://go.microsof*****m/fwlink/?LinkId=197385

Both are free and don't have a paid version (the free version is the full version).
