The way you put it, is simply idiotic. When someone puts a RAT on your computer and use it without your consent, thats ILLEGAL. They have access to your privacy, they can do ANYTHING with the data on your hard drive. They can use your computer on their computer, they can steal credit cards, accounts, ALOT of stuff. A virus on brothersoft..? You'll literally be contacted by the FBI for "sql injecting/hacking" into that site, is how trustful it is.

EDIT: If your credit card has an unreasonable amount of money taken out of it, all you have to do is call the bank, close the credit card, and an arrest will be made to the person who took it. (I have a personal story of my dad from this, I'd know..)
