Making a private server in 2021

Hi, I was browsing around the internet in search of a way to make a private server with the loss of flash. I made one back in 2012 and now it seems like people who have made one don't want to share how they did it. All the YouTube videos out there are now useless. Most of the time the links wont work or they skip a lot of the steps and it used to be a lot easier before flash died.

If any kind soul would like to lead me in the right direction that would be great.

I'm just bored and wanted to make one for fun not for profit.
