Grimoire 3.8 Frosted Edition



Well been awhile since I touched 3.8/3.8+, this version is the old 3.8 Source from the link in my signature, updated to work again. I whipped this up real quick, this does not have WASD, nor should it mess with the Opacity of the game, this is a new version and loads slightly differently than before. It no longer lets you change FPS.

Requires: .NET 4.8.1, Flash 32-Bit Only [Get Here]
.Build in Visual Studio 2022. (7/7/2023 in less than a few hours from downloaded revision)

THIS STILL USES FLASH AS IT IS CLOSER TO VANILLA 3.8.

Once again its tiny, since you know, more vanilla RE like.

This version has been written into the AQWL Frost Client, and can support local SWF Plugin loading. [I will explain better later]

FE - New SWF Core, Return of 32-Bit Flash Use, Updated sln to work in VS2022, fixed and worked-around Ax-Shockwave 2022 UI issue resulting in no Designer use, used RE code to quick patch updated changes made over time to FE in a matter of minutes...this fixed - Reject/Pickup Drops, World, Player, and Server settings all right away.
QWU-BreakFixed - Updates Tool Windows to Dialog Allow Sizing/Minimize at a base level, this required removing a menu item and creating a replacement in the BotMan.
7/8/2023 - New Update Coming Soon - Fixes BotMan Windows to all be the same size, allowing quick scrolling through the menu via the top-right drop down.

Thanks for the update! Only thing I could add would be a minimize button for the Bot Manager tab as it only has the close button right now. I tried copying the bots from RE and 3.8 on FE's bots folder and they work just fine, which is pretty cool.

Done! just go ahead and download the new copy instead and you can minimize the windows once again! Fixed the two white ones as well.

There was a user here, that took the time to do so, but never released his copy from what I'm aware. They use a different technique to allow you to load in, I no longer touch private servers for security reasons. So, I'm sorry to say but I cannot/will not assist you with Laf nor any private server. That said best of luck, I have tutorials on making AQW Loaders, If you want start there, get a copy of Animate 2021, web crawl Laf and peek at it's elements and source, check out AQW, get to understand it a bit, and you can figure out exactly what laf does different and work right on around it, allowing you to load in with cetera/grim/rev/mpgh loader if you write them to their protocols/methods instead.

Best bet is to get their Loader.swf from laf.world/locationyoufound/locationyoufound/game/theirgamefiles/theloader.swf
something like that, download it and decompile it using a SWF decompiler like SoThink or Online.

Both Spider and Biney, used login checks to ensure you were logged in to run the bots, disabling the methods that do this and allowing the bots to run anyway bypasses this issue for private servers sometimes.

The edges should allow you to resize, you should not be stuck in Fullscreen...It will not stay in window mode?

If it's an element sizing issue, I haven't started the full UI takeover yet, just UI changes, the takeover will likely use WebView2 for the Menus, Ax for the game.

Hello, I found out about one issue again and it's about saving a new .gbot file on FE's folder. I made my own bot folder when I started because it didn't have one but it's doing an "access denied" prompt when trying to save a new bot in-game. The files from RE still works fine but I just can't make new ones and save on it, same thing happens even when I made a separate Bot folder for FE and trying to save new bots on it.

Edit: tried re-installing using the new files, then giving FE its entire separate folder but issue still persists. I tried saving on the Bots folder that was provided but permission denied prompt still occurs.

Bot Manager UI size issues and the need for a scrollbar were also prevalent but as this was mentioned already I won't pry too much. Although I'd personally prefer the older UX of non-dropdown menu for the tabs (Combat, Map, Misc, etc.) for ease of use.

Ohh, totally forgot about that. My right click being broken for quite some time now isn't helping either, lol. Thanks for the update! I will try it out later and start making some bots for the items that I'm farming myself currently.

Your attachments don't work. Use SKUA, not Grimoire.

i get the error 'microsoft .net framework class not registered' when i launch grimoire :/
