Hey Mpgh!, Well I just created this "Tweaks & Tips" thread to help alot of people out .

Tweaks



Bloom Effect

Is the bloom effect blinding you at times, or making it hard to see, especially in single player? Go to the settings****i file (default My Documents > BFBC2), and find the line that says "bloom". Change the variable to false. This also reportedly gives a small boost to FPS on some systems.

Forcing DirectX Version

Go to My Documents > BFBC2, then look for the settings****i file and look for dxversion=Auto near the bottom. Change this to dxversion=10 or 11 (if someone owns the new ATI goodness). You get more FPS when forcing DX10 on a DX10-capable card.


Changing Field of View

In the settings****i file (My Documents > BFBC2), find the line that says Fov=55 (55 is the default), and change it to another number, for example 65. For example, on a monitor with a resolution of 1680x1050, if you want a FOV of 90°, you would put 65.

Increasing FPS

Here are some general tips to increase FPS:

- Turn off the bloom effect (first in the thread).

- In settings****i find RenderAheadLimit=2 and change it from 2 to 0.

- In settings****i find HSAO=true and change it from true to false.

- If you're running an ATI card, set Catalyst A.I. to max.

Beginner's Luck

Okay, newbie. Other than hopping into Battlefield 1943 and earning your stripes, it looks like this guide is the only way to keep you alive. Pay attention so you don't get your whole squad killed.

KITS
The assault soldier is the most balanced default kit in the game. The weaponry is good from long to medium range, and his overall role on the battlefield is well defined: kill infantry. With the assault soldier, you can focus on simply attacking or defending an objective - no fancy defib paddles or C-4 for you.

Once you're comfortable with the assault soldier's role, give either the medic or the engineer a try. Remember, they've got other duties besides simply shooting.


VEHICLES
Vehicles are a large component of the battle. However, you don't want to cost your team the round by crashing your Blackhawk into a tree. The best way to deal with vehicles and learn their controls is to join up with a squad mate who's already driving. Most vehicles have a secondary fire mode, which will allow you to get some kills while watching how an experienced player maneuvers around the map. When you're ready to start driving yourself, give the Quad Bike a shot before hopping into a T-90 heavy tank.

Of course, establishing air superiority is one way to distinguish yourself as an elite player. Still, learning to pilot those high-profile vehicles can be a bit challenging, especially with enemy AA on the ground. A good way to learn the controls without having to put yourself in danger is to find the UAV station. From here, you can control the mini-helicopter without putting yourself at risk. The smaller vehicle means you'll have less enemy fire to contend with, and of course, it'll be lsightly less embarrassing when you crash into a building.

TIPS TO STAY ALIVE
You're not going to shoot anyone if you're dead. The best way to improve as a player is to stay alive. Follow these free tricks to stay healthy:

> When you're hurt, the health pack is the quickest way to heal up. But if you can't find any, simply get out of the action. You'll slowly regenerate health when not under fire.

> When attacking an objective, try to stay in a squad or a group. With more people for the enemy to shoot at, there will be fewer bullets heading your way.

> While on defense, try to find a location that can cover the objectives without exposing yourself. Windows, blown-out walls and hillsides can give you a great place to shoot from while still offering a degree of cover.


Ways To Play

All right, soldier. You've got a few kills under your belt. It's time to maximize your impact on the battlefield.

LONE WOLF
If you're not in a squad or with talkative teammates, it might be time to go lone wolf. The best kit for operating on your own is the Recon kit.

TAG TEAM
When you're in the heat of battle, it's important that you're fighting for the man next to you. When fighting with a partner, the best strategy is to combine forces using the assault soldier and the medic.

SUPER SQUAD
A full squad of four people is best balanced when each member of the squad is a different class. The strengths and weaknesses all blend together, enabling your squad to act at peak efficiency.

-ATTACK
Try using two medics and two assault soldiers. Double the ammo and double the health.

-DEFENSE
When defending an objective, you may find yourself facing some pretty powerful assaulting vehicles. You'll want at least one engineer to fend them off and one medic to fix up anyone who gets hit.


Get Tricky

So, you're good. But are you elite? Start pulling off some of these moves and you just might be.

THE UNBREAKABLE UAV
Maneuver your damaged UAV back to the safety of your own spawn point and have a friendly engineer give it a tune-up while it hovers in midair.

VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER
Vehicle upgrades are cumulative for all people in a vehicle. Try getting in a vehicle while you have the extra armor upgrade equipped; be sure to give a buddy who's got the secondary fire option enabled a lift. You'll be a force to be reckoned with. For an added bonus, travel with an engineer who can hop out and repair the vehicle at the first sign of damage.

MAKE A POINT
Is there a soldier who's camping out at a certain spot? Don't just shoot him - sneak around behind his location and go for the knife kill.

ALL TERRAIN
The smart soldier uses vehicles whenever possible. An overlooked tactic is to use the Quad Bike as a way to flank the enemy from some unexpected angles instead of simply rushing in with a frontal assault. You'll be surprised just how much it can cover.

W.T. .50 CAL
Shoot a pilot out of the Apache with a .50 caliber sniper rifle. This is the ultimate headshot. He'll never know what hit him. But you will. And you'll be talking about it for days.

But if not, You forgot Allah Jr.

Throw on some C4 on any vehicle, and go in for the suicide kill.
It works great when you are playing rush because you can just charge into one of the bombsites, and just light it up like fireworks.

Be sure you jump out so you can activate the C4!

Trust me I didn't leech it?.

I've seen it elsewhere aswell I was just writing SOME of them down. I didn't leech the whole Guide/tips. After a few of them I didn't know what to write.
