Lol I don't get how no skill is justified by using an ump.
It's hands down the most versatile weapon in the game, and honestly the recoil can be a bit random at times, which if you pay attention still recoils more than every AR but the Tar/f2000. Ak's recoil is straight up and down so wouldn't necessarily consider it recoil.
People use it cause A) It gets the job done, B) Doesn't need an ounce of stopping power and C) Has everything an AR has, but better.

The second time I used it.. and I got witnesses here..I tried it on MPGHnet..

Damn I had 17-0 with absolutly no killstreaks..
