Texture Modding Help

Okay so Ive been working on my SCAR but lately ive been getting problems. after modding my SCAR i click save as /blahblah then when i save as ***1 no interragted alpha i get message "All Alpha w/e will be lost" so i cancel and try to save as ***5 which doesnt gimme the alpha loss error. but when i try to HxD edit it. the edited iwi is messed up. so i save as DXX1 and get alpha loss message but i click ok. after HxD edit and CRC fix i put the file back and get message "Image File Corrupt" what am i doing wrong? ive done this numerous times :/ am i useing the wrong oroginal Iwi file? i use

ok after editing your scar with w/e you use example adobe save as D.X.T.5 and click generate mip maps try that out idk why you get an corruption error i did it and had no problems
