[Tutorial] AlterIWnet - Change nickname when alteriwnet_configure.exe doesn't work

Hey guys,

here is a very simple tutorial for the guys out here that have a problem opening alteriwnet_configure.exe (can't change name).

First to do is open the place where you've saved alterIWnet.

It looks like this:




Second open alterIWnet.ini



Now when you didn't change your nickname ever, you wont see the Nickname=Matjuh123 line.

That's the problem, just add Nickname=Yournicknamehere and it will work.

As easy as that

No, some people don't.

and alteriwnet_configure.exe will crash sometimes.. and this is easier then using that by the way.

no becuz aIW explains to change yer name thru the configuration. the only ppl who wud know how to change their name other than configuration are the 1337 hackers or ppl who are familiar or play around with these kind of files. not choobs that jus download and hack away
