Why?

I wasn't sure where to post this so I will post it here. I just got unbanned for bumping an old thread. The ban was two days, even though for me it was three days. The forum rules I read by Obama said that bumping an old thread is a one day ban. So, let me get this straight. I bumped an old thread, one day ban. No, two day ban it says. But wait, it was a three day ban, that ended at 2am. What do I see wrong there? Quite a few things. Mostly, it was longer than 24 hours which the forum specifys. Another thing is the thread that I "bumped" I didn't really bump, a friend sent me to it to read it, and I responded to someone needing help, I didn't notice how old it was. And it's not like I said "Bump, hahaha!" It was a reasonable bump, which by a post I saw Dave say, is perfectly fine. (Maybe it was Arun, I can't remember)
Anyway, I would just like answers.

Edit: It may have been the "Favorite bands?" thread, but I didn't bump that either, I simple updated it, and more people posted on it... and I was kind of new when I did that, I just came back from a long time away from MPGH.
