Yes, but not everything is done client-side (some of the shooting is processed on the server).

No. "Extracting" just discards some meta data and builds the data files within the package.

Dude, I extract all files and they come out as raw files. Like music.upk comes out as "avaBMG_metal.SOUNDNODEWAVE" How to convert?

Convert to what? As you said, those are the raw files / If you want a preview or an editor for them try using an UED or UDK to open the package.
