Hello GunZ players!

We are once again pleased to announce that on Wednesday, September 1st 2010, GunZ will undergo another regularly scheduled maintenance, in order to apply our most recent game and content updates. This maintenance will take place between approximately 11:00 PM (PDT), and 2:00AM (PDT). This maintenance will affect the GunZ website and all game servers, however; users will still have access to the forums during this time.

This update will include:

- The release of our new Shark Teeth Set and ROCK melee weapon to the GunZ Platinum Lucky Boxes!
- The beginning of our September Talk like a Pirate Day and Duel Tournament Events!
- A few minor Fixes for issues noted after our Mid-August Patch
- The conclusion of our August Gifting Rebate Event!

Upon completion of our maintenance, the GunZ website will then be brought back online and service will be restored. Once restored, you can login to GunZ and other game site services as you would regularly.

We apologize for the downtime, however periodic maintenance is conducted to apply necessary updates and to improve site-wide performance and stability. Please note that all times are approximate, and that we will do our very best to adhere to the schedule.

AVAST YE' SCURVY BAND O Duelist!

Sorry if that sounded a bit rough; I may have started in with the pirate stuff a bit soon.
Getting back to the events at hand however, as many of you are already aware; September 19th will be international “Talk like a Pirate” day, and we here at ijji.com would like to help contribute to the festivities! That being said, we will be hosting our very own, month-long, event to celebrate “Talk like a Pirate Day!”

Event Details:
Along with this event, each of you (our awesome Gunz players) will be eligible to receive a Free (30 Day) Eternal Blue Set by clicking the “Redeem” button found on our “Talk like a Pirate Day” event page.

Other Event Bonuses and Specifics include:
- Bonus XP for all games or matches played on Island Map
- The addition of our new Shark Teeth Item Sets, and ROCK melee weapon to the GunZ Platinum Lucky Boxes. Items will then be placed into the Rare Item Shop as normal.

Event Period:
The Event will begin immediately after the completion of tonight’s monthly maintenance (9/1/2010), and last until the 3rd of October, 2010.

GET READY DUELISTS!

The time has come to challenge yourselves and one another once again!
We are very pleased to announce on that this month of September 2010, we at ijji.com will be hosting our Second ever Duel Tournament Event!

The Summer Duel Tournament Event schedule will be as follows; and we ask that you please remember that all times will be noted in Pacific Standard Time (PST), and may be subject to change (If deemed necessary by your GM).

Schedule:
- Qualifying Period: September 6th ~ September 12th
- Tournament Match (Rounds 1 & 2): September 18th @ 10:00 AM (PST)
- Tournament Match (Round 3, Final Four, & Championship): September 25th @ 10:00 AM (PST)
- *Prizes to be distributed after the conclusion of the Championship Round*

Game Options:
5 Minute Round Time limit
Late Join will be Allowed / Friendly Fire OFF / No Level Restrictions / Team Balance OFF

Game Modes:- Team DeathMatch
- 1 vs. 1
- 10 Rounds
The first player to win 6 rounds, or the player with more wins at the end of 10 rounds will be declared the victor. In the event that there is a tie after the 10th round, there will be a sudden death Tie-Breaker Match!

Championship Game Settings:
- Team DeathMatch, 1 vs. 1
- 3 Sets of 10 Rounds.
The first player to win 6 rounds, or the player with the most wins at the end of 10 rounds, will win the set. The first player to win 2 sets of matches will be declared the winner!

Rules:

• People will compete for duel points during the qualifying period. At the end of the qualifying period, the top 32 players will enter the bracket tournament. If any m ember is reported for cheating/hacking, they will be disqualified from the tournament and the next ranked player will take his place. It will be up to the ijji staff to decide whether or not a hack report is valid, or appears to be falsified in an attempt to defraud the outcome of the tournament. Once a decision is made by GM’s, it is final.
• Swapping for points will result in disqualification for both players.
• Maps will be selected by GM’s.
• Users will meet at the center of the map and bow to each other before each round. Users must stay in the center of the map, and any running out of the center will result in a loss for that round.
• General Chat is not allowed during tournament game play.
• Use Ventrilo AT YOUR OWN RISK. We are not responsible if/when your IP becomes under attack.
• Players will not be permitted to l eave during the game to change their equipment. Please come prepared.
• If/When a player is disconnected, it is up to the GM to determine if that round will be repeated or counts as a loss.
• Any sort of hacking/cheating by any person will result in disqualification from the tournament.
• Any disrespect or abusive language towards GMs or other users will result in an instant kick and possibly a ban.
• Be smart and turn your whispers off. Again it is your responsibility to come to the match prepared. If someone is spamming whispers to you, it is within your power to turn this chat feature off before you begin.

Prizes:

1st Place:
Unlimited set of your choice (special item packages/rare item sets not included), Champion Crown Item.
$100 eGift Card will be given for either Walmart, or Amazon.com (Applies only to users residing within the US. All other users will receive 1000 Gcoin).
If a user does not want the set or already has the set, they can request 250 G coin instead of the set.

2nd Place:
180 day set choice (special item packages/rare item sets not included), and 25 G coin. If a user does not want a set or already has the set, they can request 25 G coin instead of the set.

3rd and 4th Place:
The two players that come in third and fourth in the final four will receive a 90 day set of their choice (special item packages/rare item sets not included), and 25 G coin. If a user does not want a set or already has the set, they can request 25 G coin instead of the set.
