[HELP] Corrupt .avi savefile.. need help!

Hi guys, I know it's not related to game hacking, but i need this file, and it is gun-related!

I recorded a video of me drawing an M4 on paint using a free screen recorder, which i tested to work beforehand, and it was all good.

So I started recording, and after four hours I had this:


..and i stopped the video. Then I chose where to save it, and clicked okay. It started to save, the my computer went slow, the screen recorder stopped responding, so I had to close it.

There is now a 2.6GB file in my vidoes with the matching title, but when I click it, it says on media player that it it corrupted. But.. there is a 2.6GB file, so there must be something in it, and way I can open it at all?

Extract the frames? I really need this! I have tried DivX, DivFix, DivXRepair, & Fixplayer.

Try opening in a program which is slightly more capable. I've often been able to view avi (divx / xvid) movies which weren't completely downloaded with something like K-Lite Codec Pack.

Do you know what codec the uncompressed file had? If you know which one then you could try a recovery tool (I don't think your tools would work if it wasn't DivX or whatever they were made for).
