uhh... if this is alpha, then i do not have a clue about it
but classic, there is no .exe file for classic unless you are using WoM... otherwise, its a JAR file

Do you get an error? I was hoping for somewhat more specifying information from someone in your place. You know we can't do anything with 'can't run it.'

No error, but when i run as admin on XP, i can hear error sound

For errors like this you might want to ask the official mc forums. Because it can be anything really. /

You probly just have the .exe downloaded. You need .minecraft folder.
