Cause they are our little brother but they don't do anything /
The other day I was watching the news and saw a clip about Canadian baseball fans at Dodger Stadium waving a Canadian flag. Dodger Stadium security said that if the flag wasn't put away, the flag wavers would be arrested.
WTF gives here? Nobody in Canada would be arrested for waving a US flag... ??? ??? ???
I'm so disappointed with the attitude of the USA concerning the Canadian flag and Canadians in general...
Remember the '92 World Series? The Canadian flag was flown upside-down at Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta. The organizers of the event said that it was a 'mistake' that the flag was put on the pole upside-down. BS! If a flag is flown upside down, it means 'Distress'. Very disrespectful IMO!

because the american citizens think canada is cold.
and everybody in canada thinks americans are stupid because they have poor judgement.
(not all americans)
because we unfortunately have as many idiots among us as anyone else. those who rant most about brainwashed unthinking crazy fanatics abroad are usually brainwashed unthinking crazy fanatics themselves, and if your country doesn't sieg heil the current administration and whatever its oil-driven invasion du jour is, well, you must be tools of the antichrist. surely you have a few people like that yourself. plus the fact that people are lemmings, and if you exploit a 9-11 kind of event to frighten them into blind obedience and violations of the constitution, a fair number of morons will go along.
partly the disinterest in world affairs is that being geographically large you're not forced to learn to live with foreign-language-speaking neighbors as much as europe or asia are, and there's also the fact that power corrupts and superpower super-corrupts. personally i try to go against both those grains, and fortunately we still have a healthy contingent of people like me who think canada, especially if you bother visiting, is a pretty cool place.
i was overseas and exposed to criticism too, though it was usually very polite. unfortunately it was also about 95% accurate and not even the full story. the way i see it is, any country too immature to learn from criticism instead of being offended by it deserves even more, and the one mature enough to listen to it and learn, has nothing to worry about from it.
i don't like the answer, but that probably covers it.

There are just some people out there hate Canada, I can say most of them are from US, but the amount of people who hate Canada is very little.
The reason for those people hate Canada might come from the idea of sport games, internet, etc. They might thought "Canada is a worst country ever because we lose them" or something like that.
But as from experience of comment on the internet, around 80% of Canada haters are never been to Canada and only looking at internet for whole days.
If this thing still makes you unhappy, just ignore what those people says, I know a lot of American who likes Canada very much, and some of them even said they want to move to Canada.
I am from Canada also though.
Haters gonna hate /
You've noticed that right-wing Americans hate Canadians, but what you don't realize, perhaps, is that they hate nearly everybody. They have extreme hatred of all foreigners, their knowledge of other countries is limited, their knowledge of foreign languages absolutely nil.
They do not read the news of their own country, or know anything about their own history, and they certainly do not read the histories of other countries, or world news.
If you attempt to engage them in conversation about another country, they'll say, "That's a socialist country, isn't it?" Meaning it's a country where you don't have to go bankrupt if you get sick.
Canada is a pretty good target for this generalized xenophobia. You're "up" there, "above" us, in their eyes, looming down with your pretty pine trees and moose and all. Many of you speak French, which is, in their eyes, a sissy language. You care about the environment, which is highly suspect.
I, like many Americans, think Canada is a beautiful place.
