I just don't believes you, you make more money than some of the highest paying jobs around. The only thing I would believe is that your father makes a lot of money as an average harbor pilot is around 200,000-500,000 dollars. But most of that money goes toward your insurance policy in case you crash the damn boat.

here is where youre culture stops and mines starts, St-Laurence river is quite the hardest river to pilot for any pilots all around the globe, my father makes about 10k per ride but dont do alot, there is an average of 15ships crossing between montreal and trois-riviere per day, the pilots are rare and very spetialised in each 120km long sections, for a total of 3 sections till ocean, dropping 20k$ to cross the st-laurence river (the usage of a pilot is a federal law but exclude army and coast guards) dropping 20k on a boat witch tranfer worth millions of dollars is worth it
