Help overcome checksum check.

Hey
Can someone tell me which files stores the checksums?
I'm pretty sure there should be like an .xml file or something with checksums
and maybe you could also tell me what type of checksum?

Anyone knows if there's salt in those?

My purpose is simple... I want to change the color of the sky (hehe)... can't modify DDS files w/o chaning checksums.. so it kicks me out for hacking internal files. Need to bypass.

I don't need stupid posts like "no, just do this.. blah blah" or "why would u want to"... tell me where to find the checksums or move on to the next thread.
