Black Ops PC patch

Hey guys, for those of you that have been have the extreme lag issue in both single player and online (NOT talking about connection to servers, talking about FPS) a patch was released not too long ago. Has it fixed it for you? My fps has gone up a bit but to me its still unplayable, probably goes around 17 FPS average.

I'm not having any of these problems so I dont know. But then again, Im not running it through steam, and steam is ultimately what causing most of the problems.

Yes it was nearly unplayable yesterday, friend called said they patched it I logged in and instead of the lag spikes being the constant I only get them for the first few seconds of the match then its smooth sailing. Hey 48 hours for a "fix", not bad.

I forgot to mention that along with the patch I disabled the ingame steam overlay, so between the two I don't which has had the greater effect, but from going a steady 6-6 or worse to getting 15 or more kills makes me a not so sad panda.

They actually patched it rather fast, if you ask me.

Nah man I still like HELL and I still can't play. when I play online I lag soo much I can't play, and when I play SP I still lag like crazy I have all my settings on low as possible and still lag. Thay need to fix it

ultimately your processors power is the key to the game, since it's a bad port of the 360 game which has a different type of CPU/GPU architecture the game does not utilize new E-pci or GPU's to any advantage, you could probbly pop in an old X series ATI or 7800 Nvidia card and get the same performance as a new HD 5700 or nvidia 400 series..

CPU power is the key to the games frame rates.

Yee, the guys that are talking about the lag spikes im guessing your talking about the online lag spikes? some of us here unfortunatley are suffering from 100% cpu usage while playing and trust me my pc specs are more than enough to play the game. I donwloaded skidrow patch so im running non steam and still laggy as hell. as i said the patch fixed a bit of it but they really need to get this done with. I just hope they listen to the small group of us that are suffering this rather than focusing on the smaller issues the majority of you are facing. would you rather black ops playable with lag spikes or black ops with 10fps....

If you've set your config to read only before the patch delete your config file!
I had lag before I deleted it now it works fine, I'm getting the same amount of FPS as before the patch(with my modded config) without having the modded config on! Going to remod the config to get up higher(getting 30-40 FPS without config mods atm and my CPU is under minimum)

mhhh i dont have so many lags but now the grafic looks very bad worse than counterstrike, cause of some errors/bugs/glitches in grafic :s

in my opinion black ops is a totaly failure, cause they didnt tested the gameon pc and just released it

Every once in a while there's a lag spike, nothing to major lasts for like maybe a second, but otherwise I'd generally say its your computer /

well i have a Quadcore 2.88Ghz CPU, and im using roughly half capacity still only getting 45 fps
