i wouldnt buy sony, never ever
cannon or nikon, the main reason is lenses, once you get into photography you can have a great camera with aight lenses or you can have a good camerara with great lenses and its gonna be a lot better
thats one of the other things, a 1 year old camera will be cheaper, not much different from the current model, and now you have more money for lenses

yeah we have an older typ of sony... more expensive one though. but it shoots fine tobad i cant use it. like that expencive /./
ahwell average it will be put to either a nikon or a cannon. the choise is urs if i was u i should go with scrcrw on this, mpgh's photography expert could say.

Well, I guess I'll be going with a Canon if I do end up taking the class.

What would you guys consider cheap? I've seen cameras around $800 and then I've seen some $1,000+.
