Hello MPGH,

i saw that nice l96a1 colours pack.
and i want begin modding 2! i am very good @ photoshop.
can someone help me with wich file i need to mod (ak47u/l96a1... etc.)
and how to open and replace the standardskin for a modded one.

To find the right files you will have to search around inside the iwd files for what you are looking for. Try this open a random IWD with WinRAR, then click on the arrow that is pointing up and then click 'Find'. Type in a keyword in the 'String to search' box and click OK.

their scatered all over the iw_xx (xx= 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, etc)

if you looking for ak47u & sniper you can look into iw_06 or iw_11, look for the names of;

- "~-gt5_weapon_ak74u_c.iwi"
&
- "~-gt5_weapon_l96a1_c.iwi",

then follow the link that master has posted above on learning how to mod the original's to your own custom skins, good luck.

"c" representing the skin image of the gun, which allows us to mod the guns of call of duty black ops, using photo shop and modifying it to be identical as the original.

ok the l96a1 file is in iw_11.iwd
but wit wich program i need to open and how to edit with phosothop
