Perm Gun Rez Mod? Possible? Yes?

In theory it should be possible to mod the game in such a way that when you buy a gun for 1 day, it sends information to the database that you bought it for 90 days.. This should be possible, however it is probably so hard, and well hidden that it will never be done. (It certainly wouldn't be a simple .rez mod)

Ie the client only sends a message asking the server for a perm, and the server checks to see if it is possible etc. For the very reason that clients cannot be trusted... But I am always surprised at the amount that is done by the client and trusted by the server.

Hmm, still don't you think you could make the client 'fake' a perm, and therefore get it from the server? Or do you suppose that the only thing the client does is say to the server that you're doing a renewal, and from there on the server does everything? (Including calculating a random duration.)
If the client, as in your example, would already know a duration, then it would still be possible I guess, since you cán fool the client. If the server however, decides the duration, then it indeed would be impossible.

He said nothing about modding the power of a gun, or whatever.. Also he probably is fully aware of the fact that indeed, the power is not moddable..

What he asked was to mod a renewal case in such a way that it gives perm, every single time.
