If you don't know what a trace rout is then here is a kick in the
ass *kick*, just kidding!

You perform a tracerout to find the host [main IP] of a hostname.

So if i wanted to know where Microsof*****m was hosted from, i would
perform a traceroute on Microsoft Corporation and see all the IP addr.s
accociated with the name. It would follow the domain all the way to
it's roots [where it comes from].

This can be vital information .. if you know what your doing with
it :P.
