I knew some of these, but not all. And I always fall for some of these, like "75% of you actually tried to lick your elbow after reading this," and "You were too busy to notice there was no #9," and then I scroll back up to check..

A convo between my brother and I:

    >>Not all of these are true... The origin of golf is incorrect.
Also, I once met a stripper that could lick her elbow. It's more disgusting to watch than you think.
Even though 28% of Africa is wilderness, it doesn't necessarily mean that 72% is city. A significant portion is uninhabitable desert.

    >>I'm assuming the stripper dislocated her shoulder in order to lick it?

    >>I think so... Wasn't as hot as I'd expected so I didn't pay too much attention.

There are two types of tragedies in life. One is not getting what you want, the other is getting it.

If you wake up at a different time in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?

No, these are fake crap. Golf's name didn't originate from that crap.

    Heres the entry from wikipedia:
"The word Golf was first mentioned in writing in 1457 on a Scottish statute on forbidden games as gouf,[1] possibly derived from the Scots word goulf (variously spelled) meaning "to strike or cuff". This word may, in turn, be derived from the Dutch word kolf, meaning "bat," or "club," and the Dutch sport of the same name. It is often claimed that the word originated as an acronym for "gentlemen only, ladies forbidden", but this is an urban legend.[2]"

I bet 60% of that shit is bullshit.
