To help further ;
1. Another program may be interfering with your ability to load Crossfire. If you have a program such as Xfire, Skype, Or a Firewall running you may want to disable them. They maybe be taking too much Computer Usage at a time, A program to help you decide which programs to close is SmartClose;

Or you can easily do this manually by disabling unneeded programs.
2. If your internet connection is shared with other computers or devices you may be experiencing problems when they too are using a heavy program - Please play when these devices are off or not in use.
3. As stated above, you may want to make sure you still are running within Crossfire's Requirements ;
You may want to look at memory more than any other feature.
4. If you are experiencing other internet related issues other than simply Crossfire not loading, You may want to contact your internet service provider - Via their website - about any issues that may be occurring.
