Collision

Her rosy cheeks, his warm hand
Guiding her face to his own
A gentle touch that means so much more
Their eyes glisten in memory
Heart beats quicken in their ecstasy
New worlds open before their eyes
Tearing at the essence of reality
The sun frames her golden hair
A halo bestowed by the earth
He smiles as her laugh
Softly mixes with the wind
Purposes now clear to them
Who would have given chance?
That two broken hearts could collide
Souls melted as he gives
That final kiss

Valentines Day

Well, I know people hold many mixed emotions about this day, personally I feel that this day is just another day given to us – to tell people how much they truly mean to us. Events in the current world-wide scale have opened my eyes up even more to the unfortunate truths of an imperfect world, but that doesn’t mean is has to be this way. Granted, we will never be that ideal Utopian society – As long as life occurs there can never be perfect peace. However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t show a bit more compassion to those around us, Our friends , Our families, That person you always see walking to work – Really a smile or a simple “How are you” could change someone’s world. I remember reading a quote “If one person smiles at me on the way, I won't jump.” (In regards to a suicide) – How many times do we simply, in the haste of life brush past one another, with no regard to existence? Too often I feel and I wish to bring a little light to this world – So I say to you Happy Valentines Day, and I wish you each the best.
