New Way to Host with Steam?

Hey, I've been inactive here for some time, but last time I was here people were still widely using MW2 Liberation for hosting mods on MW2 in Steam. Does that still work with the latest patch or is it unsafe, and will I have to move over to AlterIW?

Liberation works, though it's unsafe and will get you banned. (If you're already banned, you can use liberation to play in private match)

I don't lagg at all, though I hate to have to restart with a different mod and renaming the mod's folder everytime I want to edit the mod =_=

I have been using mw2 Liberation for 5 months now. And still not banned.
( I use version 1.04 )

So I don't know why so many say it is unsafe.
( Maybe VAC just like me? And my mods? )
