It IS 100% TRUE that you can circumvent certain things to get special items, but generating items out of thin air is not quite possible.

You can make it look like you're wearing different items but they do not stay, they're not permanent.

A lot of extra drops, probably. With 117 I get like 2-4 extra drops on bosses, with 150 or 200 we'd probably get quite a bit.

There's a maximum limit on amount of white core drops though. I think it was 5 or something. It was on one of the news posts a while ago.

He created items, for example the lucky 150 ring. He also created items with +15 already on them, I know the "Indelf" guy from the "Nexon your days are numbered" post and we haven't gotten crap out of this guy. Though I didn't think it'd reach Nexon's forums that fast.

Console access is only the front access.. (Standard commands, and a few things developers left behind.)

On the other hand, it is technically possible to gain control of the engine to do a whole lot more.. (Spawning mobs, etc)


Now, I'm not quite sure about how poorly the game is written.. (Although Nexon's notorious for writing really bad serverside code.)

But considering how you're able to manipulate various clientside aspects and have it reflect on the server.. I wouldn't put it past me to say that there aren't ways to generate items.

Nexon doesn't write any code.(itself..they have subsidiaries such as devcat, wiznet or whatever) They just host the games. The game was coded by Devcat, a korean company.
Also, it's not that the game is poorly written it's that it uses source engine and it's well known that you can do all sorts of neat stuff using commands in source engine games. Look at all the cheats/hacks for CS:S, HL, L4D, TF2, etc. There are even servers that allow the use of commands and have sv_cheats enabled by default.
