Drone (pre-stages WIP) 56k

Alright, got my external fixed guys.
It was an issue with the USB cable, not the actual drive. Thank God.

I worked on this for about 10 minutes, and I can rough-sketch just fine, it's the painting part that's getting me.

Any experienced people have some tips?

EDIT:
I'm not looking for cnc on the images.
I just need some tips on how to get started with painting it, this was just so you all could see what I see.

And some more mountain looking things
They look all metally and shiny like alluminum but white
Then this calm atmosphere as if they were going somewhere

That's almost exactly what I'm going for.

I'm total shit with painting, but IMO the robots should be painted in some kind of silver. Please no mountains in the background, put something modern like skyscrapers or something just not too colorful.
When I first saw the pic the first think that came to my mind was something stylish, with few colours and modern.
Your choice anyways.

I would prolly just paint the drones a grey or some bluish grey haze color. The mountins I see as like a darkish pink color and the ground as an orange. The sky should be blue unless you want to attempt something surreal.

Why skyscrapers? its common and boring, mountains with robots? well that gives a fallout feeling

it would look nice if you made a broken effect, as if they returned from a fight or something.
