Hmm... make sure you have LAN drivers installed. After that and it still doesn't work reset your modem.

Turn it off for like a minute turn back on
Then reconnect

disable your wireless connection and enable your ethernet connection (happened to me bfore and i couldnt connect that was the fix)

Go to internet options and make sure connect via proxy is unticked.
