i would just go with the i5
I noticed the i5 has .1 less ghz(3.3) than the i7 sandy bridge which is 3.4ghz.Is it exponential or what?I need advice can save 90 bucks
i would just go with the i5
The difference between the i7 and i5 is that even though they are both 4 core processors, the i7 supports multithreading. That means that for every core on the i7 there are two virtual cores that can run separate computing threads, so instead of having 4 cores to use like on the i5 you have 8 virtual cores to run on the i7

Yup, I was going to say that. But, isn't using virtual cores really unstable or something? That's why most just say for now i5 = i7 w/o multithreading.
