This thread is so fail. Why are people comparing a budget card to a high end card? Might as well tell him to get an i7-990x with 2GBs of some generic ddr3 ram and a 460W Generic power supply.

You are just buying the Nvidia name, go for an ATI card with a comparable price as the Nvidia card, it's probably better.

Depends...ATI(Rendering/Quality Of Image) or nVidia(Physx/no lag with giant explosions etc.)
I Prefer ATI for its quality I compared one "amazing" nVidia card to a cheaper card that has been reviewed as amazing by many pc mags. The ATI Card was able to play Crysis 2 on the highest possible graphics with 60 fps. It's also like asking a person who listens to classical music if they like rap. It depends on what you prefer.
