I didn't read the entire thread but lets recall a little thing known as the "Crusades" started by our celestial zombie-come-to-save-humanity lovers. There are perhaps more people who have misused Christianity than there are who have misinterpreted and abused their powers in the name of Islam.

You guys gotta remember, Muslims and Christians believe in the same God. There are however, fundamental differences that separate the two. In summary though, Islam is meant to be a peaceful religion, but people can easily twist it and use it as a instrument of fear or fanaticism to promote whatever they want. In Islam's case, I guess they're promoting the destruction of capitalism and promising virgins in heaven.
